IPhone/IPad for PPL pilots

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

Postby bennz » Mon Jan 28, 2013 9:40 am

Hi all,

Just thought to ask and see if anyone knows what are the worthy and useful applications for IPhone and IPad which is handy for PPL pilots (VFR flying)?

Thanks
Ben

There are a few W+B programs out there. Not sure about NZ but Aussie has OZ Runways which has all your maps, plates and AIP. NZ probably hasnt caught up yet.

Pilot Wiz and Aeroweather are also handy apps for pilots.

That air nav looks good. Sort of like oz runways. BTW, I am a kiwi but its not until you leave NZ that you realise how far behind the world it is.
