From what I've heard on the forum, a core i7 wont give you much of an advantage over the i5, FSX will run just fine on both, personally I would go for an
i5 3570K and overclock.

Too late! I got my rig all built up in Sept 2012!

Never looked at it , .. I recall when released the very same tweaks can be found freely , SOH is a good spot to start searching .
