I have a funny story about airport security ... out at NZCH a while back in my dark camo fatigue gears on camera , binoculars ,scanner plugged in the my ear

checking out an IL-76 on the Deep Freeze appron when this red airport security pulled up beside me ... looked me up and down half a dozen times ... then drives out in the middle of the ramp and lights a cigarette up with no smoking signs all around .... BOY

I hope this one adheres to the rules

Aircraft Change over? NZ3816 Arrived Ham this morning from the north with 1 pilot flying & 1 pilot siting in the back & an Aircraft tech - same time NZ3807 arrived from the south with 2 pilots only onboard - Later NZ3807 departed north with 2 pilots only onboard & NZ3816 south with 2 pilots up front & aircraft tech acting crewman - different

Strange , first time i saw a UH-1 in concert with a Bell 47 was the early 70s ... and due to a TV series called 'Skippy' had more interest in the Model 47 .. same period on NZBC TV1 we were getting a lot more Vietnam footage and i was getting very warmed to the Huey
