Lockheed Tristar by JustFlight , altho not seen very much in NZ skys this aircraft is a real beaut !

I notice David "Dax" Sweetman on the team doing the paints hence the weathered and war torn look on the hulls , his work was top notch on the CS Herc s

Looking good Ian I see the c/s one is out at well , but just the external so far..... I have to admit , Im a bit of a JF fan , may have to look at this .

I have found for the share size of the d/load it really is super frame friendly , 100 page manual .. with a good return to teaching the INS-NAV if one want to learn the now historical 1970/80s navigation but has options to change to GPS or tape gauges even , the best part works so well with the go-flight autopilot module .

Strange , i missed it when Billy turned up .. maybe i was blinded by the C5 and Air Force one , was around the same time a near all White RAF jobbie flew out .

Well, this Lockheed Tristar looks better than former historic airliner from JF. The "Comet" with its unsymetric wings, the DC-3 with it´s not IFR-compatible instruments, the So-and-So Constellation...

Anything good? Iam not a freak of Captain Sim with its Pay-Testbeds, its LEGO-Style-Work-in-Progress-aircraft. Is this Just Flight aircraft accurate, complete and good enough for normal flying?

I am interested in more informations Ian.

The Original from LTU was "my" first wide-body-aircraft as passenger. It was a flight to the Canary Islands from Düsseldorf/Germany. Before this my biggest arcraft was the Iljushin Il 62M.

The "Tristar" was a great aircraft with more innovations and far less trouble than the DC-10. She was the first aircraft ever capable and certified by the FAA to Autoland in Zero/Zero-Conditions. Two reasons are the in my eyes the point, why she was not a great comercial success. She has only one Option for the Engine... the Rolls Royce RB 211 and the second thing was, that Lockheed itself never has brought out her as a Freighter.

Thanks guys , following up on Andreas questions , JustFlight now has it own in house design group , livery here Just for you Andreas registration D-AERL in case you new the aircraft , 25 other schemes and four models .. main changes are for the military , RAF aircraft

I've still have to play around with the auto-land but like many other design groups you can in the VC pull the gauge out for better reference and adjust via the panel , saves you making the mistake when on final approach

Yeah that,s what they all say after a stop by ... not as fancy as the as the CS in regards to all the ground plugs and all remove before flight stuff .. coming into Winter .. I really want to re-learn the INS again , not that hard ... just to keep up with those old navigation doddly things they had back in the olden days .

Looks good .... all the c/s plugs and flags are ok, but have to take them off before ya can fly .... of course , but sometimes, one step down is good ... and at least this one is complete

Ian, thank You for showing me the LTU-Version. I have no idea about the Registration of the aircraft at this specific flight. But ... such aircraft with a individual histroy bring´s us memory´s.
The aircraft itself is a good looking aircraft. Not so much child play like CS, but i like an aircraft with it´s correct dimensions and a good VC. That we can zoom some of the instruments is great. This is sometimes very useful.

Some of the guys there gave comentars about this aircraft and have never flown it. It is for them a lesson, not to underestimate the work of the producers of such aicraft without any knowledge, what they are talking about. I hate such ignorance.
