FSX not opening with Air Hauler

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Hi there,

I have recently purchased Just Flight's Air Hauler and first impressions are great! However I have only managed to do one flight as when I go to fly, Air Hauler opens FSX and FSX proceeds to load as if it's going into the flight, but then it just stops. However it doesn;t exit out of FSX, it is still in the taskbar, but when I go to click on it, it lets me, but doesn't open. I have tried going into Task Manager and switching to FSX etc, but nothing works.

This happened at the start, then I managed to somehow pop FSX up and complete a flight, but now it's not working again.

Anyone have any ideas?

Cheers

If you press Ctrl - Alt + Delete you be able to bring up the " start task manager " at the bottom of the list and would able to shut the offending program (Win7 at least ) click on the Air Hauler program and end task , you maybe required reinstall the program .

Hmmm yeah that's what I have been doing, but to no avail. Reinstalled and still the same issue.

I just right clicked on my FSX.exe shortcut and changed the "Run In ....." option, from "Normal Window" to "Minimized" and it has worked!!

Any idea if that is the right thing to do Ian?

Some outside bissness programs only run in that mode i believe , that might be the problem , air hauler is getting long in the tooth - need to find another with program ? ... sent you a PM to find out your OS , win8 has some issues with older addons .

I had issues with Airhauler auto starting FS for me so I turned the option off. I found if I started FS manually then it was more stable with my FS hardware........ its been quite sometime since I last ran Airhauler. You could try manually starting FS and load the default flight. Once everything is loaded and stable try opening the Airhauler situation file and then turn on Airhaulers FS monitoring.

And I agree with Ian, Airhauler was great for its time but there are features which need more refinement. Rex Latitude is supposedly the next big evolution in 'Hauler or 'mission' based software for FS. I've not been able to get around to purchase and have a look at it though.
