An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

The real thing:

Chi's FSX rendition, not too far off completion:

Definitely completes a triangle of well detailed regional airport addons with AP and HN to fly between.

Awesome and just how I remember it. What impact does a fully modeled interior like that have on frame rates?
Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!

I haven't seen a drop in frame rate with the fully modeled interior. The great thing about New Plymouth's Terminal is it isn't very big or elaborate in real life so there isn't alot of modeling that goes into it.....Aucklands interior terminal would be mental haha biggrin.gif

I wanna create another New Zealand airport next to the same quality if I have time. I don't know what one to do.
What should I create?

There has been a lot of crying out for Palmerston North airport , think there are plenty of people here who could get photos to you .

Thats what I was thinking Ian, it wouldn't be a huge project coz the airport isn't that big. Not sure if I should go Freeware or Payware as it does take a while to create with all the detail.

Working on it! It blends really nicely with ORBX because the greens they use and the BG base images for NZNP are pretty much the same.

I heartily agree Lawrie. Your NP was good and I have enjoyed it (NP being my home base) but I am certainly looking forward to this updated version from an ex NP lad who was raised just around the corner from my home .It couldn`t be more accurate. Congratulations to Mr Ridland. And Lawrie it is so generous of you to acknowledge this improvement on your excellent portrayal of NZNP. You are still a master of scenery design.
