Mossie & Spit Formations

Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

Been having a play with a formation tool, Air Traffix FX, up to 6 aircraft in formation.
Best thing I found is that its real easy to use and its follow the leader, not a set flight plan.
NZSI/REX/A2A Spits/Daves Mossies.
Hope you enjoy.

lol, now to be able to break off the formation..... plane.gif
I was using the formation tool from Mudpond but found that the AI flew in a set pattern at a set speed and height and you had to formate on them, dam hard when trying to get the 'V' key going.
So I did some poking around on the net and found this one.
It can add a whole lot of AI to flights etc.... but you can add aircraft to the 'users flight' and its follow the leader.
What impressed me was that the AI do everything that you do, gear, speeds etc...
Its so easy to use, you take off, then open tool, select which aircraft you want in your formation, click add to users flight and click to send to FSX and thats it, less than half a minute set up.
It was a bit pricy at $25 USD, but I think it was worth it as the result is outstanding.
When you do sharp turns the AI are not 'rigid' in their actions, they vary in their height and bank angles until you level up and they line up again.

Looks cool - assume you can adjust their relative positions?
What happens when you do a loop?

Hi Charl,
not sure about that yet, have only flown a default set up.
I will have a bit more of a play, and read up on if I can change the positions.
Would be nice to be able to do a line abreast, boxed etc...
