Was one along these lines done in Australia in the mid/late 1990s , it was flying but recall maybe only two seat but nothing came of it , guess this is how Burt Rutan and Frank Robinson started out .

Yeah I just love these guys that tinker about in sheds and come up with these amazing creations.

Ligeti Stratos, I remember this aircraft only 2 were made and the designer crashed the 2nd prototype and died.

Hi Guys, Been a while, damn babies gettin in my way.... One of the guys developing this aircraft was at the Flair aviation expo in Te Kowai, Hamilton in 2011 just before Max Clear passed away. He did a presentaion about this aircraft and the company. The guy had previously worked for NASA and is definatly thinking outside the box. Every single surface of the synergy aircraft is laminar flow, even the fuslage which makes it extremely low drag. I remember walking away from the presentation feeling quite wowed by it, however that was his aim. They are looking for investors after all.
