Runway lights wrecked
A plane has smashed runway lights during a take-off described as "extremely abnormal" at Auckland International Airport.

What he said - my brother flew on LAN to Argentina from AKL and he hated the aircraft - was very rattly seats were cr@p etc

We'll LAN here or maybe takeoff rolleyes.gif .. not the first time an International dose the real c0ckeyed flying .. Singapore a few years back with the over rotation ... GAWD ! think some of our Simmers here could do a far better job ! cool.gif

As with all these things , it must be subjective ....i have a friend who flew LAN (longhaul) and she had one of the best flights ever ( and she's done a few) guess it just comes down to the day.

If you compare them to the other South American airline that used to fly here (AR) they're top notch.

Don't we all do it?...If I don't wiggle my Saitck Joystick to centralise it correctly before taking off, I can take out the Tower, as well as the runway lights....no problem!

...wiggling your Stick-of-Joy in a public place can get you arrested for indecent exposure... ohmy.gif ...!

Paul , winkyy.gif just lucky the runway lights could not speak .... 'ouch ! that did'nt hurt' ..... 'ouch ! that did'nt hurt' ... 'ouch ! that did'nt hurt' ..... imagine the shambles on the 6.00 oclock news , all the bright sparks would really blow a fuse rolleyes.gif all those bulbs just dangling there out in the open .

Well, you're true it was the the captain of flight LA801's fault, Man, he should have lined up that A340 on the centre lines rather than one side of the runway!
