Some pics when I flew into Queenstown on Queens Birthday weekend - first tinme to do it, and I tell you it is awesome! - one of the best places to fly into in NZ!






















Ice on the prop going home from NZQN - flight from Christchurch to Nelson

Always a great trip into ZQN. Not only is the approach interesting down the Kewarau Gorge, but usually the amount of traffic around the airport (including the numerous Milford flights) makes it even more exciting. Interesting to see the ice build up on the wings in your photos. I guess that you will be flying a lot of approaches into Queenstown in FSX now then !!

Always more fun flying into QN in the winter than the summer.

Cheers for sharing the photos, I've never noticed that much ice accretion whilst paxing ATR's myself!

The Ice photos were on a Dash - yeah It was strange really the flight from NZQN - NZCH there was basicly no Ice but from NZCH - NZNS there was a lot!
