Training Costs: £105,000 (including all taxes and accommodation)
http://www.ctcwings.com/qatarwings/finance#3

105.00 GBP = 207.118 NZD
British Pound ↔ New Zealand Dollar
1 GBP = 1.97255 NZD 1 NZD = 0.506958 GBP

Dunno how much this one cost however?

Virgin Australia Pilot Cadet Program

Virgin Australia is again changing the face of the Australian aviation landscape through the introduction of our Pilot Cadetship Program in partnership with Skywest & Flight Training Adelaide. Our inaugural Pilot Cadet Program selection process has concluded for 2012 and the successful cadets will commence training in November 2012. We anticipate future program details, including program entry requirements, will be available in mid-2013.

The Virgin Australia Pilot Cadet Program is a unique opportunity to play an integral role in shaping the evolution of this iconic brand, and to become a part of a dynamic company that genuinely believes and demonstrates our people are our greatest asset.

Once you successfully complete the program, you can look forward to a career within the Virgin Australia team taking off on the ATR (in conjunction with SkyWest) fleet as a First Officer.

And this, gentlemen, is why being a pilot is not a job but a privilege nowadays.

I spent a lot of money for going to Switzerland for the Swiss Airline Pilot Screening.

I did well, but was told to wait another 2 years.

Becoming a pilot is not the best idea today, even at Swiss where you, if you get through, will be flying until your training has been paid. (off your payment of course)

Lufthansa is the same story by the way, they keep recruiting, even though there are enough recruits until 2015. I think, this is a no brainer.
