yeah the whole undercarriage looks like a scaled up A330, could be some commonality there.
In the coverage they mention theres a plan to have a common rating between the 330 and 350, I guess it's certain cockpit/instrument elements, surely not completely common?Last edited by deeknow on Sat Jun 15, 2013 10:45 am, edited 1 time in total.Deans repaints: http://www.deeknow.com/

As you do, as you do...
Cam's models are very much in the "almost got it right again" department, but hey if that's all you have...
The undercarriage is designed for growth to the -1000 which has a 3-axle main gear truck.
It unloads the (composite) wing by being attached to a beam which allows the wide stance.deeknow wrote:QUOTE (deeknow @ Jun 15 2013,11:29 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>They were REALLY talking up the 330Order book is 262, worth a penny or two!
And I guess reassuring the customer base that buying A330's is no bad thing when the pilot conversion to A350 is a couple of weeks only!
Actually I noticed the AB Marketing Man take a tilt at the B777-300ER yesterday - hard to figure out where these models compete, really.
What is clear, is that the A350 is a direct response to Airbus customers' requirements - remember they scrapped the original "stretched A330" idea completely as a result of Emirates/Qatar/Singapore comments.
You have to admire a programme like this, it is massive, 7 years in the making, and thousands of people and bits to organise.
If you pull it off, a morning waving little AB flags next to the runway is probably not too much fanfare, really.Last edited by Charl on Sat Jun 15, 2013 11:51 am, edited 1 time in total.

Hope the aircraft had a shave before going in front off all those crowds, customers are always right they say

Big plus for flyers is full-time wifi, who needs a window then?
I read with increasing horror Boeing is going to carve 4" out of the B777 interior so they can also go up to 10-abreast!
The bean-counters from the "emerging economies" have spoken...Last edited by Charl on Sat Jun 15, 2013 12:31 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Looks very much like a reduced flap setting used for the landing (presumably to cover the go around possibility). Could explain the large flare.
