Gotta love this livery!

Our route and upcoming thunderstorms are visible on the ND

try to read it. I'm sorry, I can't write nicely.

The quiet before the storm

Ok. We had to dodge some CBs and are on an alternative route. We need to avoid a few cells

Like this one...

and the last one

Well, how about that? This is like German Autobahn!

North... becomes .... South winkyy.gif

Passengers are sleeping and the sun is rising. On this flight a sign that the longest part is behind us

let it shine!

Pure beauty

I can smell it. We're nearly there smile.gif

Time to discuss the approach. We will land on runway 05right flying SID BASIV FIVE BRAVO

The holy land

And we're going down!

38 minutes left and we're on time!

Vref = 139kts with full flaps

Two red two white, it's alright!

Final!

Touching down

And so, there we are. Auckland, NZ

Gotta wait for a Qantas 737

Arriving at Gate 3

bye bye

Hope you had fun!
Cheers mates!

"Gotta love this livery!" , pleasing to see the company going into gear with a similar .. again like the adding - small snippets of your flight plan and paper work ..

Just to rip ya shorts i had a cockpit flight 4/5 hours on a return from KL ... just able to see the North Island before i had to go back to my seat .

Now with screens like that .. We want to see you posting in the this months Screen Shot Competition and the next .

Hey Ian
I'll use this one to answer all of your comments. First thank you for those kind words, it's always nice to read that, because those trips are a lot of work!

So, I'm trying to get it as real as possible and a flight is a lot of paper work and preparation, got to love that about flying as well.

You are one lucky guy! haha I bet you know that.
Well you probably wouldn't believe, but since I'm back in Germany, seeing the North Island is what I'm dreaming of every night.

I'm planning on going back to NZ though. I'll bring some beer!

Well, thank you for the feedback! I will keep posting.

About the competition, I'll see, what I can get!

Cheers!
Cheers mates!

Being an airliner simmer I really enjoyed your shots. Fantastic. I flew the Air NZ Triple 7 from Heathrow to Auckland over the weekend via LAX (1x speed of course!)
But no fancy 777 like you have, so this was awesome to see that detailed cockpit. Very cool.
Really nicely done and I look forward to any more you might post.
Regards,

Nah, I don't fly the 777 all that often at the moment, so just freeware versions for me. But enjoyed seeing this one again. I actually thought this was CS on FSX. Been a while since I've seen PSS (anything) screenshots.

Hey brent! Thanks! The PSS 777 posky merge is really amazing. I love flying it.
If they could have put their works (project opensky and pss) together to make this a brilliant 777, it would be even better.

Excuse me, which picture are you talking about?

I'll make a report of my next flight as well. Just preparing it! If you have any suggestions, wishes, do or don't feel free to tell me

Cheers mates!

heya,
I'm using walk & follow, a tool which allows you to "walk" around the plane.

The merge is a self-made one. I can send you the steps per PM if you like.

The paint scheme is freeware, downloaded at avsim. "anz_773er_okq"
Cheers mates!

Hey kiwi a Question how do you do your lonhaul flights like that? - do you speed time up when on Autopilot? or do you use real time?

Hey mate.
First, I actually don't fly those long routes a lot. But when I do, I try to fly over night so I will go to sleep and wake up every 2 hours to look if everything's working.
If I can't fly through the night I usually do a lot of work while flying. If there's a rainy day where I can't do a lot I speed up.
So I'd say 75% real time. 25% speed time up.
Cheers mates!
