Good news NHs bad for the Huey , be interesting to see how long it takes before we get to see one here in Christchurch , but obviously we would see it here within 10 days .

I reckon - although looks like most people missed this Orion in ChCh when it was their due to the lack pics around?

I heard/saw the AN-124 fly over Palmy. There was a broken layer of cloud so I could see glimpses of something big. Thought it may have been a 124 or the NASA 74SP heading into Ohakea until Flight Aware confirmed it.

We see the NH-90's around the Manawatu pretty frequently these days. You can definitely hear them coming...

A long time coming , most all the equipment that looks airforce has been deleted except the P3K / C130 / Seasprite and the venerable Huey ... whoops hang on ! unsure.gif that is the entirety of the today's RNZAF not counting the buzzy bees and John Keys personal King Airs . Arr for the wish of even a token gesture of maybe a few F-16s and to reinstate No.75 ... sorta New Zealands BOB flight huh.gif

OK .. a small charge , similar to how they did it with the early radar tracking 2006/7 - back then charge was $380 per year and back then could not - was not set up for NZ , worth checking out later stage and again handy for the plane spotter with wireless internet and a laptop .

Waiouru that's a fun place for helicopters quite scenic lol. BTW those NH90s are certainly a better chopper than the AW101 that has 3 engines.

Good posting Sean , they are well suited even as the years go for the rescue pacific to rear load ramp , would make them ideal .
