Did you read up on the 3GB boot.ini tweak suggestion I made when you last asked about this? You didn't reply last time, but might be worth trying before laying down $$ on an upgrade.

I do have a Corsair HX650 I can use, so that will work'All things are possible to him that believes'

It is a long read but very thorough.
Definitely not a 5 minute read.
But very good information.
I like the bit at the end
THIS THREAD IS NOT COMPLETE
I started pricing up his parts list, but stopped when it went past $3500

Intel i7 4770 Haswell Quad core 3.4 GHz Processor
16GB RAM
1TB (1000GB) Hard Drive
Cooler Master K380 Case
500W Tomahawk Power Supply
Gigabyte GA-H87M-D3H Motherboard
EVGA GeForce GTX 650 Ti Graphics Card
Windows 8 Pro 64 bit operating system
This has Windows 8, and it seems people have had a bad experience with Windows 8 and FSX, what do people think?
these are my old specs, the reason I want to upgrade is so I can stop my memory issues and improve frame rates etc
Windows XP SP3 32-Bit
AMD Athlon II X2 240 Processor 3.0 GHZ
4.00GB of RAM
Geforce GTX650 2GB of Memory GDDR5
Corsair HX650 PSU
This will run FSX very nicely

If you are not sure, go for win7, I am quite happy running FSX on it.
If I decide to upgrade to win8 I'll try a trial version first.
