FS 2004 VOZ 1.8 equivalent for FSX?

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby Fozzer » Sun Aug 18, 2013 9:45 pm

Hello Chums... biggrin.gif ...!

Having sampled the delights of freeware VOZ 1.8 (Colours of the Great South Land) for many years for my FS 2004, colouring the seasonal scenery texture for any part of the world, selected with an on-screen window to select the AUZ-type area required...

...I am wondering if there is a direct equivalent to VOZ 1.8 available for my FSX to perform the exact same effects?

Just to change the "seasonal colours" only...nothing more... winkyy.gif ....

Many thanks!... biggrin.gif ...!

Paul...FS 2004....and FSX... winkyy.gif ...!
Paul Fosbery.

VOZ is superb but for the day everything here has gone the FSX payware way BUT still slowly installing FS9 onto another HD , its running and with this news least i would have a fresh approach by compare of the last 8 years of FSX.

Hello Ian... winkyy.gif ...!

OZ made such a marvellous job of their free-ware VOZ 1.8 for FS 2004, and therefore I am wondering if they produce a direct Payware version for FSX?

Just to change the scenery colours in FSX, the same way that VOZ 1.8 did so well for FS 2004?

It worked/works marvellously!

It looks like ORBX FTX Global replaces VOZ 1.8 (FS 2004) for FSX.

£64 for the DVD version delivered!...(I like DVD versions!).

http://www.flightsimstore.com/product_info...roducts_id=2542

A lot on money..but there you go, looks like a big improvement on FSX default textures!

I just hope it doesn't trash my frame rates on my lowly computer!

Paul...FS 2004...and FSX... cool.gif ...!

Ian....How do we "old-timers" get this 20% discount?

Ta for the info re; the 20% discount for Oldies on ORBX Products, toprob...

I searched for it, but couldn't find it!...(The result of being old!)... sad.gif ...!

20% off £64 for FTX Global would be very welcome, and not dig too deeply into my Old Age Pension!

I do have the occasional brain storm.... laugh.gif ...!

As well as my FS'98/2000/2002/2004/FSX, (and Flight!), I still have my Flight Unlimited II and Pro Pilot '99, Longbhow, etc, etc, on my hard drive ready for instant use!

...I even have my Sinclair Spectrum 48K's "Elite" ready to take into outer space!

Nothing is "too old" for me!... biggrin.gif ...!

Paul...you suggest it....I'll dig it out... winkyy.gif ...!

That brings back memories. I played that on the C64 -- it was well beyond the scope of most games back then.

Blast from the past!

I have a spare room chock-'o-block full of old computers, and crates of games software and manuals dating from the 1970's. 1980's, 1990's....various Sinclair Spectrums, various Commodore C64's, various CPC Amstrads, various Amigas, and various games machines and cartridges!
All still in working order, ready to run!

Nostalgia...too good to throw away!

Paul...Collector Extraordinaire!...and Sinclair Spectrum, Zilog Z80 machine code programmer (Fozzersoft) from the past (and the present!)... drool.gif ...!
