Yes Ian, NZNI is installed and, in fact, I cleared the problem by turning off traffic. Lawries job is impressive and I do not worry about more sparce autogen (in fact I think the "normal" autogen is more realistic in the NZ area) nor does the absence of moving vehicles cause me any angst

I have been a little lazy in answering your questions. So herewith a bit more detailed response:-
Firstly just a few opening comments - When I say something is better or an improvement on something else it is just my opinion and is does not deny there are other opinions.
- My interest in Fsim is almost purely the piloting of the aircraft, light GA aircraft at that. I seldom venture more than 1000' above ground level.
I am not generally interested in the detail below me, more in the elevations around me.
- My sim is all FTX except that I do run the VLC libraries and non FTX scenery for some airports in NZ
There to me problems when running Napier v2 when FTX is set to Global. I find the scenery package of the actual airfield etc to be most impressive and without noticeable flaw; but I am not so impressed with FTX global treatment of the surrounding landscape. When testing this setup I preferred Autogen set to sparse (The maximum setting is like living in a jungle in my opinion). I will not be using this setup in normal operations.
The use of FTX oceania with NZSI/NZNI activated is, to me, far more interesting. This does require the relevant entries in NZNI scenery and the NZNR elevation adjustment within FSX scenery be .bak'd
and the Autogen set to sparse.
The trees close to the runway, the vehicles that run through the hanger (pleased to note however that the hanger door is open) and the elevation issues on the road and ground to the east are there but the first two can be minimised by the winding back of the relevant display settings. The elevation problem arises out of more than one conflict within FTX and the aerodrome scenery. However I can live, myself, with the continuation of these problems as I am primarily interested in the airfield itself when on the ground and the surroundings when I am taking off/landing. I do so admire that detail etc and layout of the buildings. It does make "pretending" so much more enjoyable. I will use this setup in my normal Fsim operation.
I do not use VLC other than to have the activated VLC libraries in my setup
Thanks
