Well now im thinking I might just upgrade to Win7 with a new Mobo and CPU, you may know I already have a Corsair HX650 PSU and a Nivida Geforce GTX 650 GPU so all I need really is a good OS and Mobo + CPU

would any of these be any good?

If you are buying new parts, trade me is not the cheapest place.

Couple of examples below

Do a google search for "Intel Core Haswell Upgrade Kit"

Better off buying from a recognised supplier.

In reading this thread I just thought I would mention I work in I.T and have a very good grasp on hardware and happy to give a helping hand of advise (or building if you're in Auckland) where needed at no cost of course just a cuppa. This is also out there for any other member of the forum keen to either upgrade or get a new system. I suppose this is to show my appreciation for the sense of community I have gained from being able to come to a forum such as this over the past number of years. Of course, PM me if you deem yourself to be in dire need of a fellow simmer's computer expertise.

On a slightly related note:
I work for a franchised company as a mobile technician in the Greater Auckland area so feel free to pass on our contact number to your trusted friends, families, and other allies that Need A Nerd :-) [0800633326]

Cheers,

Kelvin.
