THE NEW BOEING!

Well nothing to be seen coming up here for the PMDG 777 (What, everyone too busy learning wot widget to twiddle? why didn't you just go to airliner pilot school, then?? laugh.gif )

No... this is the freeware TDS B787, the OTHER new Boeing.
Just the way I like them... plenty to do on the FDE, plenty of community input on panel, effects, contact points etc etc.
So here we are taking a look at NZWN and its weather:

Doesn't look too bad here:

Fair bit of crabbing as you get down to it, though:

Oops, there she goes:

But you know... nothing my tough plastic plane cannot handle

Just drive her back the way we came, any landing you can walk away from...

Nowhere really to park the bird, all those jetways just a little low here...

No problem, we carry our own compliment of GSV!

And, getting out no issue for Trent-1000 power

Yeah I reckon the (correct) -900 model will look better proportioned in ANZ colours.

Dang and there's me so pleased I remembered to switch on the seatbelt sign, before breakfast...
Freeware, ya gotta love it!
Ed Cox came up with an XML gauge that produces a subtle contrail at <180kts and full flap.
I fly all the way from Wellington to Auckland at full flap and <180kts smile.gif

Nice pics Charl, thanks for posting.
I've been buzzing about in this bird a little as well, even bought the TSS Trent-1000 sound-pack for it which adds a little more to the overall 787 package.

Great shots Charl. It sure is a nice looking model, and a nice stop-gap before the QWsim is released. It does look nice in your ANZ scheme. Never noticed the ground equipment feature though lol
I flew this plane myself today/overnight. 12 hours direct from Shanghai China to Los Angeles (with some pauses along the way for sleep and work). Just wish it flew as well as it looked.
Snapped a picture or two along the way if you don't mind me joining yours? Hello down there to San Francisco, heading south to LA at F390 on FS9.

I do miss the Pacific Wave...

Thanks Dani! I was about to say that everything you see is freeware, but then Dean reminded me I had also bought the TSS Trent 1000 soundpack.
(And while there, Trents for 777 and everything else too. It all started way back with their brilliant Bell 206 pack, a long story)
It's almost disappointing to hear a quieter airliner, when you rev a B727 you know there is something going on, by the noise and black stuff ejected rearward...

EDIT: simultaneous post, great shot Alister, love to see more.
There are good tweaks BTW which make this one a little less eager to reach Mach=1 on takeoff...

Cheers. I tried to get a tweak out of them on their facebook page for the nose wheel contact point, no one answered after two attempts, so I left the group. Seemed just a repainter forum, no one else with a serious question got answer. Would be glad to see a link to some tweaks. Am going back to the default 777-300 panel for the next flight, had some real FPS (and FS2004 crashing) issues with the last one I think..
A few more screenshots for you, from the arrival stages over the US smile.gif

Nice Screens Alister , the second screen is so much like the cover of my 787 book published in 2005!

I stay out of facetwit for that very reason..
Alister you need to make sure the stock [VCockpitxx] sections appear in any panel you use, as there is xml coding involved in the NW steering.

Cheers for sending me that link Charl - I learnt a lot. Might redownload this plane and start over. Being mindful of those XMLs in the panel especially. Cheers for the help Wingz!

New_Zealand_etc.gif you're welcome... I made up my mind with this one, to stay in the game from day one!
Based on past experience, really - I never ever did manage to get a POSKY A330 assembled with VC and all the necessary patches.
