I think after that flight they would have been well out off condition laugh.gif ... maybe they were doing a movie clip for a new Super Hero Action movie ?

Well, as You can see, the C-27J "Spartan" is meanwhile retired. They are good aircraft, but not very efficient. Sometimes I think they are in the same category as the Antonov An 26 and An 32, but have more modern avionics. But... with all these niceties the cost per aircraft and the maintenance are far to high for such a type of aircraft.

One Information about used Addons. The "!Spartan" is from Iris, the Scenery is from Megascenery and I have this one in use, to keep more informed about VFR-Objects in for me unknown territory... XPOI by FSDT...

Sometimes I press the "P" activate this Software, look around, make a sceenshoot, deactivate XPOI and fly on.

The canyon screens look impressive cool.gif

Salt Lake City , no that more for the DC-10 crash , the city is the same size as Christchurch and after the that incident they had a seminar and dinner here to find out how Christchurch would respond to a situation like it ... stranger 15 years so later the earthquakes here proved it went in one ear and out the other .

Great pics! I learned how to fly in Utah, and have flown all around those parts many times! Ogden municipal airport is right next to Hill AFB, and so as a student pilot, flying North from Provo Airport, we would usually always talk to Hill tower while transitioning, just so as to be able to fly through their airspace and take a peek at the flight ops going on that day! Shared airspace with F-22's, A-10's, Herc's, AWACS, F-16's, KC-135's while going through that airspace. Also, interesting, is that since Nellis AFB is so close, there were always plenty of aggressor aircraft in the area, which were always fun to see.

It was a great place to fly. There were always warbirds in the area as well. I worked at the airport during flight school, and was able to get some pretty up close and personal experiences. The flying was very rewarding. You had to be spot on in the mountains with your night flight planning in GA aircraft. winkyy.gif I remember a flight out to North Las Vegas, my first time actually. I was flying a Diamond Da-40, and it was overcast somewhere below 25K, and was extremely dark, with no moon, stars or lights on the ground. Although, a Red Flag was going on, and Nellis approach told us to watch for the 6 Tornado's in afterburner descending the down the mountain face...amazing.

Thanks for posting, that one hasn't been out of my hanger for a while now, you've given me motivation to pull it out again.

What Scenery are you using at Flag Staff Hill?

You don't know were I can find any fictional French AF repaints for the C27 do you since I can't find a descent FSX CASA 235, a C27 would be the next best thing and a few hours of googling hasn't shown anything?
Takeoff's are optional. Landings are mandatory.
