Looks like it parked up in the deepfreeze area when I left. And by the sound of it that L-29 just flew over my place again!

I might contact the airport company and see if we can get slots cut in the fence , weld extra tube and rewire it for people to take photo's without the hinder of a fence ! wonder if it has been asked or put forward to them ? , I count around 150 photos , have some dramatic file and a variety making it one heck off a Wed , course the people I met .

Hey, coincidently got the same Singapore airlines 777 coming in on long finals, just starting to lower the undercarriage, when I was out in Kaiapoi yesterday. Great minds and all that eh Ian?

Had to drop my wife off at the airport and seeing as I had nothing else on took my camera and spent an hour or so watching the comings and goings at the North end of the airport. I thought I may as well add to Ian's collection with a few of my own biggrin.gif

Couldn't get the Dash-8 props like that if I had been trying but it seems that coincidence does work sometimes!

Got to love the heat haze effects from the engine exhaust, gives this shot a sort of impressionistic painterly effect

The fact that it's a pretty large aircraft works in my favour too.
