No need for that Ian - you might come up with a better one than mine biggrin.gif
It's all part of the fun - I have a couple of other things in mind - but it makes a nice demo of how good FS9 can look.

Yep, it used to be magic, to watch those little chubby kerosene budgies with the drainpipe engines rotate at about one-third of the runway and spear up into the sky at what looked like about a 60 degree angle.
Anything later than a 737-200 behaves just like any respectable airliner laugh.gif
Total contrast to the majestic departure of a fully laden 747, just hanging in the air without a lot of visible, or audible, effort.

Ian, we're not going to agree on the topic and you continuously provoking my response is just a little childish IMHO, and I suspect just annoying th rest of the members, possibly entertaining some smile.gif let's please avoid the whole Classic reference thing from now on?

GB,..while your classic pocket rocket shot is outstanding I suspect Doug will be a little grumpy as it has a border and such..perhaps you could do a whole set of classic 737 shots and put em all up in the general screenshot thread ,..I personally love the old 200 series machine,...she "just looks right ".

The word classic means something that is a perfect example of a particular style, something of lasting worth or with a timeless quality. The word can be an adjective (a classic car) or a noun (a classic of English literature). It denotes a particular quality in art, architecture, literature and other cultural artifacts. In commerce, products are named 'classic' to denote a long standing popular version or model, to distinguish it from a newer variety. Classic is used to describe many major, long-standing sporting events. Colloquially, an everyday occurrence (e.g. a joke or mishap) may be described as 'an absolute classic'.

In saying that, that would make the 737-1's,2's and 3's all classics in my opinion as all are long standing popular models. If someone were to ask me what is the "classic" 737 I would be thinking the 100' and 200 series in the first instance,..but then the venerable 300 has been around for a plenty good length of time now too.

Anyway,..this is a screenshot competition thread, If anymore discussion is to be had perhaps another thread could be created for this ,..along with some tasty screenshots of ALL the above types !. biggrin.gif
