Well if it isn't for P3DV2.0 or VC only then it isn't going in my hangar.

Actually since it's all a big retro thing they might have only 2D cockpit ! tongue.gif

Strange how many still use a 2D, and funny enough people use the line of site point of direction indicator - I certainly would not want them driving if i was on a real plane!

But Ian... the DC 6B was an aircraft with 5 guys in the Cockpit. I think, that sometimes in Multicrew-aircraft some things in 2d, like Overhead, Pedrestal and Ingenier-place are not bad... This may help for quick Response if needed. And without, Point... zoom in... where is the damned clickspot... zoom out again... Autsch, we have got mother earth again... biggrin.gif

Absolutely agree. VC only might be fine for a modern tube liner, that really only revolves around the FMC and Mode control panel but as you say for systems intensive aircraft (switches, knobs and levers etc) there is really no going past a good 2D panel.
Mucking around trying to zoom in to move a switch is cumbersome.

The thing that bugs me the most is flying in turbulence, your mouse pointer is suddently no longer on the 'click spot' and you've got to try and relocate to keep the dial, or whatever, moving. Then the plane jumps again and you're off the spot again. Really annoying. My PC isn't so strong, so I avoid VC panels in anything bigger than single piston general aviation planes......... 2D I get better performance, and can actually accurately control the plane (I don't just do loops in the clouds, I'm an A to B simmer)
