It is a 763 with winglets. I don't think Mr Warren will figure out what I'm up to. Hint though, I'm repositioning one more leg to EGLL.

Off course i do , you have been invited to display your retiring winglet 767 at Farnbourgh this year or maybe other airshow venues in the UK unsure.gif

Well, after a frustrating 2 days, I've been plagued with the dreaded Concorde X OOM errors and I've given up. Never have I seen a FSX add-on perform so badly!!!

I've spent countless hours trying different stuff. Read this: http://forums.flightsimlabs.com/index.php?...s-oom-try-this/ It is disgraceful.

Looks like 64bit is out off the question and a quick it looks like a customer may have lost a lot of money $115NZ$ were most or large percentage have moved to the 64bit even before ConcordeX was released ... and from Flightsimlabs

"System requirements:
Minimum: Dual Core CPU, 4GB RAM, 512MB Graphics card running Win XP SP2, Vista or Windows 7 (32 or 64bit) Flight Simulator X SP2 or Acceleration.
Recommended: Quad-Core or i7 Processor, 4GB RAM, 1024MB Graphics Card, Win7 64bit."

Then in the forums ! ... sounds like double talk, pleased i did not buy it then - I look at the spec's and what is said below !

FSX is and will always be a 32 bits application. That means it can only handle 4 Gbytes of RAM no matter what. Concorde-X is probably the most demanding plane with regards memory use, but I don't think you'll ever have a problem with Concorde-X using default sceneries. But you'll very likely get OOM errors if combined with other memory demanding addons, such as complex sceneries like Aerosoft Heatrow (specially if combined with London VFR or specially UK2000 sceneries), Aerosoft Mahhattan (specially if combined with FSDream Team KJFK), Paris Charles de Gaulle (LFPG) or FlyTampa Dubai, just to name a few.

Because there's no way to increase the amount of memory that FSX can use the only solution for flying those airports/sceneries without OOM errors is to lower FSX's memory demands. As far as I have been able to check, these are the most memory demanding items:

- Land and sea traffic: I always have it disabled. It hits very hard not only in memory, but also in CPU ussage.

- Autogen: I usually leave it to Dense or Very Dense, except in very detailed sceneries such as those mentioned before, when I lower it to Normal. This setting alone usually solves my OOM errors (remember I'm not using land and sea traffic) when I have it set to Normal or lower, or will certainly cause me problems when leaving it at Extremely Dense in complex airports.

- Artificial traffic: I usually have AI traffic at 40%, except for very busy airports, when I lower this setting to 30% (I'm using My Traffic X which increases traffic A LOT with respect FSX defult traffic)

- Airport level of detail: I always have it set to Max, but unless you have a very fast CPU (over 4,3 Ghz) you'll probably want to lower it in some airports, such as FSDream Team KJFK or Paris Charles de Gaulle (LFPG).

You can use the free Microsoft tool TN Process Explorer to monitor the amount of VAS that FSX is using:
http://technet.micro...s/bb896653.aspx

The easiest way to use it is right clicking the fsx.exe process (under the explorer yellow icon) and go to "Properties". You can also add the virtual memory column going to "View icon_arrow.gif Select columns icon_arrow.gif Process Memory" and checking the option "Virtual size"

Once an object loads into memory it is not possible to remove it from memory and free the memory used. So loading addons sceneries while on flight is a waste of memory and a likely cause to have a OOM at our arrival or even in flight. It's quite wise to disable unnecessary sceneries we may overfly in our routes. You can do it using the standard scenery editor, but this great free tool makes thinks much more quick and easy:

Scenery Config Editor
http://fs-sceditor.sourceforge.net/

Finally, if all that fails, you can try to lower the value LOD_RADIUS in the fsx.cfg file.

Exactly! Pretty gutted. I'm running an i7-3770, 8gb ram, 2gb GTX660TI, 1Tb Black edition WD and w7 64bit. Complete waste of money.

Over the my history regard to backup support is many , and the big one is no reply at all "RCS" really did a number on me so they are gone , .. One that still works now is the 'Cloud9' Phantom but only in FS9 , they did say it was to upgraded to FSX ... 'CLASSIC' they deleted and changed the reading .... happens in the real world to ...

A thought , only person with this package is my Brother in Australia , I'll contact him in regard to this ConcordeX and see how it has going with him ! .. ?

After some more testing I got it stable and I almost made it across the Atlantic, they experienced some issues and it OOM'd around 15mins from KBOS.

So I thought I'd make a flight from KBOS to NZCH in time for Cross the Ditch, but I didn't make it. 17 hours and 15minutes later I touched down in NZCH.
