Dan , sorta my type of flying , very normally unseen having a registration on the top of the wing these days to which i could not pick out but guessing X4 ?

pretty sure it was XA. and that is a Mexico registration if it is XA

Got to love these old news reel type reports. This one is a report of the Berlin Air Lift back in 1948. I hadn't realised but even the good old Sunderlands played a part.

Greg , you should have stay and waited .... 3 hours after you left i was still babbling World War Two and its aftermath ... come to think ... I finally got to the Berlin Airlift around 10.38 last night .. i sort off digressed , yapping to myself about the introduction of the first real heavy lifter the 'Gigant'.. sorta the 80 year old Globemaster ... unsure.gif who i was talking to ... you no how i take off jibbering away with no direction .. only to realize people left ... some what many many hours ago rolleyes.gif
