Looks like you had a RAAF Orion do an Approach & Overshoot? at Nelson yesterday.

You can very much see the inherency between the Beech's , I do prefer the private jobby, it was Nelson and on the ramp I first got closeup to a Beech , funny enough about year so later the Dash's were introduced and believe one now operated by Vincent .

I love cricket so it was good to see these shots.Must admit I was surprised to see a direct ATR flight to Nelson from here yesterday AM but the penny soon dropped. As for your earlier photos they reinforce for me that the Beech 1900(was one of the ugliest aircraft ever built) as opposed to the beautiful lines of the Dash8,an object of beauty.

Ian - If you liked Saabs as I did you will love the 1900 - one of my flights - Wellington to Gisborne I sat in seat 1A, the 1900s have no cockpit door which is great, they even gave me a headset to listen in on the flight! thumbup1.gif

Saab 340s I think most people didn't like them cos they were noisy - but thats why I liked them! laugh.gif
