Its a dang close race this month, one vote would push anyone ahead and only so few votes.

I think we need to rethink the voting system . I just checked on the size of my shot (properties) and there was my name attached in the code ninja.gif . If there was some concern about wanting to remain anonymous .... it dont work.
This may have been raised before , not sure. So we may as well put the names back on the screens.
It seems to me , and i know it will be hard work for doug .... the vote should be hidden. I think (know) we trust the big guy to relay the correct result , that, or leave it up to the sponser to decide.

Can't really rethink or build , this current one is the best voting format, far better than the previous 'Name' and 'Show' smile.gif

I know mate , and im not knocking it ..... but its no better , its pointless ... just click on the shot , and theres the name. So if you have any problem with frequent winners (as some have said they do) then it becomes an uneven playing field straight away . I know , that the style may also give away the poster (as mentioned here as well) but there must be a way.
The shot leading at the moment is very deserving , and will make a great banner thumbup1.gif

wink.gif I think the most important thing is to hide the results of the voting until it's over. Meaning eliminate the tallying of current votes until the end. Not sure if this can be done or not, but that would keep the secrecy for the those who want complete anonymity in voting. And would eliminate "popular" voting based on who had the most votes at any given time prior to the closing. But, we don't want to overly complicate things either! wink.gif

Surprising most don't realize the work involved , one thing I can say about Doug's amazing efforts ... you can count the seconds after the hour at the end of each month's competition and he's smack on the the number, we have been thru this same thing and its the best it can be. smile.gif

Right! I totally agree! I've never seen anything like it! Doug is amazing! I think this is the most organized competition I've seen in any community. Doug should get a prize just for having to put up with the likes of us and all our opinions! I'm actually amazed at how fast the next competition is announced following the closing of the previous. Kudos Doug! Hopefully my comments weren't taken beyond the friendly context!

As Rick said ....100% respect for big D's work ..... i sat with him once and watched the process , pretty slick.
Also the work to get the prizes , doing the banner, bringing in new members .... at that time he was also building my computer !
Some say .... he has a life outside NZFF and computers ..... i found little evidence ninja.gif

Again ..... notworthy.gif your bigness .... i was just commenting on what i found...and what i thought.
