Or any tips on what programs good to use as I want to paint some more CAC aircraft, also how can I upload this skin if anyone wants it?

Welcome to NZFF Logan!!

Thanks!

Just wondering, to make my sim experience more NZ like how can I change it so only AIR NZ plans (ie skins) spawn at the airport, any ideas or is it just random?

Thanks

Hey Logan,

Nice work on the skin mate, welcome to the addictive world of repainting smile.gif
If you want to share the textures with as many folks as possible you should probably look at one of either of the following big boys, setup an account, and follow their upload procedures, it's pretty straight forward...

Re the tools side of things, what are you using now? When you move onto more complex textures you will definately want to get to grips with a paint tool that lets you create layers, e.g. Photoshop (payware) or Gimp (freeware). You will need to be able to convert BMPs to DDS files (can use DXTBmp for that, or export filters I think in both PS and Gimp). To save time when previewing your changes do download and have a play with ModelXConvertor, will save you a LOT of time and grief

Post back here if you have any queries, there are loads of experienced repainters here at NZFF.org

Oh, and regarding AI, definately take a look at the free Orbx NZ/Australia AI pack, its very comprehensive:
