NZNI working in P3D2

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby Scupper » Mon Jan 06, 2014 10:24 am

Managed to get NZNI working well in P3D2 by installing it via the Estonia Migration Tool into 'virtual FSX' and then disabling OrbX trees in FTX Central. Because of its mesh it has also sorted out the elevation problems I was having. Highly detailed scenery, low altitude, smooth as silk, 40fps+.

Now to install NZSI and Australia... smile.gif

That's strange because all I got when doing this even after disabling the trees is texture images where the trees went. But, this gives me hope, so I'll try again.

Any idea how NZSI would work? I would try but I don't want to break anything.

Also, the one problem when loading P3d I had was that the file ObjectFlow_NZNI.dll was not compatible and when running it it crashed out.

I installed it this afternoon and it appears to be fine too. Flew from Greymouth to Hokitika without issues.

Everybody gets that but it's easily fixed, - this is from SRAces in a thread called 'Never Going Back!" in the OrbX P3D2 forum:

"While you do get the ObjectsLibrary dll notice on startup, that can be fixed by editing the dll file under Username, AppData, Roaming, Lockheed Martin and making the "Disable" entry for each library that you get an error on read "True" versus "False"."

So that means find the file called DLL.XML in the P3D2 folder in the above location and edit the word 'False' to read 'True' instead.

Here's the proof of my Hokitika arrival with NZSI:

I tried changing it to a local one and on the AI radio they use my local one but on this default paint it seems to be stuck on the US reg. Must be a way of changing it but I'm more interested in getting scenery and planes working at the mo...

Kelvin,

If you have disabled the object flow as described and are getting the solid black blocks then try disabling the vegetation in the display settings. Turning them off will disable all tress which seems to work for me. With Global and vector it seems fine without them.

With the registration, that seems to be a problem with the default (Carenado) Bonanza. The reg on the default Mooney can be changed but on the Bonanza it seems to be fixed as part of the paint for some reason. It's a beauty to fly though, - much nicer than the Mooney, so I'll probably stay with it for a while dry.gif .
