Arr Port Levy, place i went and had the first Pau'a placed in my hand ... the road to the place was shingle .. and a wharf that was falling apart .. Well that was 1967/8 .. but i survived ! .. Rautu , the big Maori fella made sure off that, come to think Rick, Rautu only lives around the corner , I should contact him and post .. well a near family photo.

When I flew in there back in the late 1950s there were only about 2 or 3 buildings in that whole area and the airstrip was just a grass paddock we even done a low fly over to chase a couple of deer of the strip before landing
