Welcome to the NZFF February 2014 Screenshot Competition.

This month's rules are as follows (Please read them)
.

If you have any queries about the rules please PM me for clarification before posting your entry.

1) The screenshot image must consist of a screen captured from a Flight Simulator program (FS2004, FSX or P3D) and the position of the shot must be from somewhere within the New Zealand territory.

2) Some editing is allowed (if you know how to do it.) Additional images - either screenshots or "real" images can be added - but the main component of the image should always be of a Flight sim screen capture.

3) The images must be jpg and size must be at least 1024 pixels wide but not wider than 1280 pixels -- A good free resizing program can be found at http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDownload.htm
Faststone resize how to http://nzff.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17934&hl=
3a) No frames or txt to be left on the image. Please keep a high resolution version saved on your computer; the admin may request it from you at the end of the month to convert into a site banner!

4) Images can be submitted from February 1st until midnight 28th February 2014, with only one entry of a single image per member.
You can change your image anytime up until 1 hour before the closing time.
To change use the edit button at the bottom of your post, just delete the old one and replace it with a new one If you post comments using the quote or reply button please edit out all images from your reply or quote.

5) When the competition ends, a poll will open for members to vote for the best image, and then the winner will have a cropped version of their image appear in the NZFF banner as well as receiving the prize for the month.

6) This month's theme: " UNUSUAL ATTITUDE" (Please state Aircraft details and over what part of New Zealand the image was taken)

I ask all members to please patronize all our very generous prize sponsors.
We have two excellent prizes for this month’s competition very generously donated by Dean

The voting will take place after the competition closes at the end of the month and the winner with the highest vote will get a prize and their image on the NZFF banner for the month.

For the Months competition we have a total of 2 prizes on offer, for the winner a $50 gift certificate to spend on anything in the PC Aviator Australia store.
Runner Up: 1 x MegaSceneryEarth 2.0 photoreal scenery product download of their choice (up to $120 value)

That looks like it is actually flying in Europe somewhere but that is exactly how it would look if you could see it from down under in Cook Strait NZ laugh.gif winkyy.gif

So the clouds are an inversion layer? blink.gif
But seriously you have a point about Europe Doug, the "from somewhere within the New Zealand" rule is always going to be irrelevant for air shots unless you stipulate a recognisable terrain feature.

I don't see how you could interpret the rule any other way SS, craft your air shots to include some terrain, its not that hard thumbup1.gif
Same to you Ian winkyy.gif

And, it's not too hard to find a NZ-based aircraft to fit most categories...
I reckon it's BS to enter a Ukranian-registered SU-27 over Lyttleton, for example.
Yeah yeah, I know... go paint one as ZK xxx, then. smile.gif

OK guys I have just had a clean up and moved some of the posts to where they should be and some have been deleted.
Comments on the competition entries is most welcome on this thread but criticism on the competition and rules etc is not there is another thread to discuss that so use it instead of cluttering up the competition thread.
Also the Competition thread is for competition entries only not for other images to be posted on as of now any other images that are not competition entries will be deleted sorry if I am being a bit of a grumps but with all the work I put into setting up and running the competition I don't need the hassle of having to sort out what are comp entries and what are not at the end of the month when I have to sort out entries for members to vote on so the best way to deal with that is not have anything in there that is not a legit comp entry.
OK now I have had my grump for the day I feel much better yinyang.gif

Unusual Attitudes for me always involved my instructor trying to disorient me while under the "hood" and then getting me to recover as part of my Instrument training.

Here I am recreating this experience for some "lucky" student under the Hood doing their wartime training overhead what once was the Taieri Airbase in the trainer of the day, the Tiger Moth.
