VLCGalatea

Information and support relating to this forthcoming New Zealand Vector Land Class addon.

Just installed VLCGalatea 1.0 and after letting the installer do its stuff it shows up everywhere except in the flight sim. Does it matter what priority it has in the scenery library?.

When you say it doesn't show up, what exactly do you mean?

Did you allow the installer to activated it in the Scenery Library? (this is an option in the installer.)
If not, you'll need to manually activate it.

Do you have the Vector Land Class Libraries installed? You won't see much without them.

Also, do you have your fsx installed in a non default location?

It does not appears in the Select Airport list. I did allow the installer to activate in the Scenery Library. I also tried to manually activate it.
I have Vector Land Class Libraries v1.3 installed, perhaps this didn't install correctly. Thanks for suggestions.

No, it is installed in the default location.

Sometimes the Select Airport list can have a filter applied, so check for any filtering which might prevent it from showing up.
Can you actually see it in your Scenery Library? It should be at the top of the list if it was the last thing you installed.

I could see it in the Scenery Library but have now deleted the area.
I am going to try a reinstall of VLC_Libraries. I must say that I am enjoying using VLC it is a great program.

I did put you a bit wrong mentioning the VLC libraries -- I forgot that Galatea had a big photo scenery area, so you would definitely notice it even without the libraries.
One thing which has cropped up before, is that some people assume that any new airfield needs to be accessed by clicking the 'search addon scenery' button on the Select Airport page. That isn't the case, you just select it from the default scenery.

OIC. Thanks for the further help. I don't how I went wrong with the VLC Libraries as I let the installer do its own thing.

I got a further download and reinstalled VLC Libraries. Galatea now appears to be ok, although I can't find the train!!. LOL. Still not sure what the problem was.
