Sorry I missed this one. My wife eventually told me about your message Ian but it was a bit late by that stage. Anyway, I already had other commitments for that day so couldn't have gone anyway. Still, it's a bit of a disappointment to have missed out on this. Thanks for the videos though, that does help a bit.

Thanks Zain, .. that's a safety traffic barrier as aircraft approach, been there now for over 40 years and today's Pound Rd (Google it) Rwy11 is now even more busier due to large construction trucks and traffic increase, talk is to extend this runway again to suit the larger 777s engulfing the Harewood golf course mainly due to the Christchurch NorthWesters - getting that pic guess and go .. count the seconds .
