Not quite ... always the beginning of March it really hots up with the incoming C-17 and LC's from the Ice ... most I've seen in all within 20 minutes was four all within a 5 minute track on a N/W evening - figgen impressive .. then the C17s finish the show up .

Ahh yes Mr W , i stand corrected.
All the the "predark" stock up flights , may even get a C-5 in the mix this year .
Do you remember when a K-C10 would sometimes come for the mid winter C-141 flights ?

Excellent as always. I particularly like the lighting/shade in the last shot.

Looks like its going to get a little more busy here .. a LC come over this afternoon ... not as dramatic as a complete unit return but this time I may get it on camera - C130s after 8 ta 10 hours onto Rwy29 .. impressive !

Yip recall the KC10 and the KC135 as well - well before my camera days or least having it with me but in saying that got home 10.00 this more and a LC130 come directly overhead now I was wondering if he used Rwy11 ? happened so quick camera was not in hand - never seen one so close heading south.

Saw him as well , i reckon they are at max weight , (all the end of season stuff) because he was low and slow over the city .... lots of smoke , and working hard.
Re the KC-135 , I may have (sure i did ) recount my trip on one out of harewood during the last Triad exercise many moons ago , from chc up to somewhere near taupo tanking up F-111's and the like .... down the back with the boomer .... awesome . I remember the captain ...he was a full bird colonel , and he loved the 707. Ahhhhh , those were the days .... war games , smoke , noise .
Sorry to say all my pics of those happy days went the same way as the ANZUS thing ..... down the toilet .... thanks again for nothing ex person angry.gif
