New Zealand Rocky Mountains for P3D2

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

As a P3D2 user I'm very excited to see that ORbX are about to release New Zealand Central and Northern Rockies with a triple installer. I didn't even know we had Rocky Mountains here but wherever they are I'm sure that OrbX will have done their usual thorough job on them and they'll look very nice biggrin.gif.

Ever since I read this yesterday I haven't been able to get that great kiwi classic 'Rocky Mountain High' out of my head....

Best when whistled in a falsetto third, while wandering up the track with swag bag over shoulder...

What I had desperately wished for however, with the demise of Effeh Sex, is that everything would stop being "X-rated"!
No such luck: in the above announcement I count a dozen, and that's not even including "Next"!

No, you're thinking of John Rowles. Anyway, one of them was born in Whakatane.

Hence the lyrics:
...
But the Whakatane rocky mountain high
I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky
The shadow from the starlight is softer than a lullabye
Rocky mountain high
(Whakatane)
Rocky mountain high
(high in Whakatane)
...

Cheers, Marty, but I can't pass up a combination of my three favourite hobbies -- flightsim, music, and taking the p... out of Australians.

Strangely It would have been brilliant if the LINZ team have photo'd the southern alps ... always the rule photo beats everything.

Dammit, - some eagle-eyed admin person has corrected it to NA, - now we'll never find out where the NZ Rocky Mountains are angry.gif , - I reckon Whakatane's a good bet, - somewhere south of there maybe. I'll do a flyover there soon, - they can't be too hard to spot smile.gif .

What a rip, false advertising, lol. Even though I knew we don't really have any rockies in NZ I figured it was a spin on the alps or somethin. Oh well. Bring on NZSI and NZNI for Prepar3d 2.1, still waiting for these.
