An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby ematheson » Sat Mar 15, 2014 10:43 am

I posted (probably last year) some garbled requests for scenery in the Christchurch area. I've since learned (perhaps simply by reading things I'd only skimmed before) that what I was looking for was the scenery produced and distributed on the NZScenery.com site - which is now rather completely gone the way of that unfortunate bird, the Dodo. Further, I understand there was more scenery available there than simply the AWOL Christchurch sceneries.
Is there any way that I can find a copy of this? Although I do have the Christchurch photoscenery on my PC at this time, it is a heavily altered version - the doleful result of several reinstalls and troubleshooting sessions in the lack of the original file - and is therefore missing some random tiles, some airports, etc - TL;DR, it looks like cr@p and I want the original back!

It went a good few years back now as did the site, you still have the Christchurch , now very much dated , the airport dose not look anything like this anymore, this is now very retro, maybe a dance across to the vaunted P3DV2 or FSX and there is always XPlane

Ok. So that is the same airport that was hosted on the site? I had interpreted the blurb to mean that it was a modification or replacement for the one in the scenery. As to the BASE photoscenery itself, though... that one I'm still missing. Unless there's a better one out there for FS9.

No it is not , most textures were taken from my original model done in 2001/2002 .. I built this to sit on the old NZscenery , dated 2005 since the work was mine I converted it to suit default FS9/2004 as well for the low end PC.
