Agreed,..until that time or until when the plane is found everything is BS, here-say and guesswork and achieves nothing.

Hey guy's, what do you think, maybe they should let the inquisitive pax to be aloud in the cockpits just to keep an eye on the pilots laugh.gif

I see that view repeated a lot but I think it misses the point of a forum. There's nothing wrong with healthly discussion and there's an opportunity for people to learn from the views of others. Of course no one really knows what's happened, that's obvious....but discussion here is not going to impede the investigation one single iota so that's the harm?

ah yea...its just my opinion,..thats what forums are for ,...my opinion here is not going to impede this thread one single iota so whats the difference ?...im not moderator for this patch of the NZFF forum,...did I say anywhere this discussion shouldnt be happening...ah...no,..I just stated my thoughts on the whole speculation of what happened to that flight...and it is all speculation. State your thoughts on the subject which is the missing 777 not your opinion on what I think about it..

I didn't mean to turn this into a pissing contest Adrian. Just recognised that your view was shared on other fora and gave my opinion, not sure what else you are reading into it....

no ,..no pissing contest man,...i read nothing other than your criticism of my opinion,..which is that all of this media frenzy achieves nothing other than selling lots of newspapers and keeping the ratings up on the news programs ,..its like they are feeding interest for the sake of feeding it. That itself achieves nothing ..in my opinion..., of course I want the plane to be found we all do but perhaps I should have elaborated...

No criticism of your opinion intended, just a different point of view....honestly no harm intended.

Interesting indeed Paul ... Im watching CNN . In a way i hope they find something that will link it to the 777 , for the families sake and then take it from there.
But as they have said , this area is a rubbish dump .... what they see maybe just 2 shipping containers.(80Ft if locked together )

Not sure what to make of the flightsim stuff coming out .... so i guess all bets are off until the data recorders are found.

..do you know what....

I've been pondering over this for ages, since the start of this "missing plane" episode....

I know that the use of Mobile Phones is discouraged during aircraft flight, but I find it very strange in the 5 or more hours that the aircraft continued flying after loss of ATC radar sightings, none of the 300 or more Passengers on the aircraft contacted anyone on the ground via their Mobile Phones!

Very strange!

There's been a few articles on this Paul and I have some industry experience, albeit from a marketing perspective.

Basically, they were flying too high and fast for a mobile phone to connect with ground based towers. The towers on the ground don't have limited range and are designed for signals on the ground, not in the air....

If they ever find out what really happened it wouldn't surprise me that who ever was up front had hooked into oxygen and slowly decompressed the aircraft so that all the passengers and rest of the crew passed out before they done the turn and drop to low level and that would explain why no mobiles where used.

I love Malaysia every time I went, but their decision making is as bad as the council in each region through Borneo, the road ... smooth then ruff back to smooth then back to ruff - corrupt as they were could not decide - seems to be a regular thing with govt officials these days.

Word is that the search area has been moved to the southern Indian ocean as possible debris has been found.

Hehe... that would be the same Word that's had them searching the southern Indian Ocean since day 1, I bet!

Apparently CNN was a dead and buried news channel until they got spirit mediums and the like to comment on the disappearance of Flight 370.
Now it's bounced back, and a complaint has been laid (by all the other news outlets) with the US media watchdog about unethical news reporting.
