Yes it's very choppy. I get normally with high settings about 28-29 fps on heavy weather. With this one maybe
17 max and down to 8 at the low end in P3D2. Surprisingly in fsx I changed my settings from a very hi high everything to medium scenery draw distance and that helped. To even out the choppier and make the flight smooth even though the fps never really went above about 15. They should patch it and we'll worth it in my opinion even with the setvacks. It's fun to fly...really fun.Rick Mackintosh

Its a great aircraft - although FPS seem to go down from 20-30 to 10-15 in places, when you use another addon such as Carenado C90 and 1900D or PMDG NGX 737 in the same scenario they are definitely better 10-15 FPS - I contacted Carenado about this and this is what they said:
Greetings.
In some cases it is a matter of finding the right configuration of FSX based on your computer specs. This is indeed a highly detailed aircraft that requires a fairly fast computer. Having said that, if you are experiencing some performance issues, it is recommended to lower your settings to the minimum (including traffic, clouds, etc) and work your way up to see what your computer can handle for that specific aircraft.

so not really a lot of help....'All things are possible to him that believes'

No not at all...so sounds like no patch to address issues is forthcoming...that's not very good customer service. I've got a high end PC with good equipment that whips into shape pretty much everything out there, these beast is choppy and shoild.have been resolved by them in the beta stages. Being an active tester for Milviz has really taught me to be able to identify what products get vetted thoroughly and which do not. Hopefully, they will address the issue since so many people are experiencing the problem. I've only had experience with one other carenado product the C337 and it is superb. I've got many Alabeo planes and they too are easy on the systrm...I realizr no beta team can catch every error, but its surprising that no kne reported heavy FPS drop on this one. Either the beta team is very small or everyone in the beta team is using low settings in the sim to account for the non issue...oh well, here's hoping for a patch!Last edited by 000rick000 on Wed Apr 09, 2014 6:10 am, edited 1 time in total.Rick Mackintosh

I got burned twice by Carenado. It seems any of their planes that feature a glass cockpit just bring my system to it's knees. Not everyone is running an overclocked 5GHz machine! And I know it's the plane because turning down every setting does little to help. On the other hand their steamwork (gauges and dials) planes work very well (such as the C337) as does Alabeo's planes. But from now on I will not be buying any of their "modern" offerings because that G1000 seems to be woefully optimized. I've also read in many places that their flight and system modelling isn't actually all that great and relatively simple compared to other companies offerings (not sure how true that is).
