Funny I did this 'REAL' .. Leaving a bar - the 'Bush Inn Courts' , there was another bike , I recall a Suzuki 865 , I only had a CB750K1 .. few drinks leaving - cool evening I started rhyming .. ........ Ennie Meenie Minie Mo .. then said the "Catch the Whoops bye the toe" .. fact was these guys were huge .... in front of me -

The words from their rhyme .. least last line "Catch a Honkie by the toe" in a real deep voice, In the end , I ended up in the USNavy and USAF officers drinking lounge, they did have ways back then
when , I was always invited , friggen great times. cool.gif

PS: The CB750K1 was the better bike winkyy.gif

Given how much you hear the word in Hip-Hop/Rap music (Some of which makes the airwaves) I am failing to see the problem anymore...

I despair at all this modern "Political Correctness" malarkey that we are surrounded with nowadays.

Gone are the days when we all spoke our minds...(I still do!)...

I always say what I think...like it or not...and NEVER apologise for what I said...like it or not!

Remember Robertson's Marmalade, with the Gollywog Logo?....and all those familiar nursery rhymes from our childhood!

....that went the way of the Do-Do!... sad.gif ...!

I don't mind if someone calls me a "Caucasian Whitey"!.... biggrin.gif ...!

Folks are far too "touchy" nowadays....Lighten-up a bit!

Paul...Robertson's Marmalade on Toast for Breakfast!... smile.gif ...!

Ian...I still miss my 1992 Honda CBR 600 FM Super-sport...pinched out of my front garden by thieving toe-rags, never to be seen again!...(still got loadsa bikes)!

Nice and dang powerful bike, I was with a group 50 or so ripping along at 140kms and this CBR600 clicked down and took off on his back wheel- to catch him I was doing 180km - that impressed me

Oh don't worry, may not get the bike back but least I hope he died a horrible death.

People are too goddamn touchy feely these days,..I also speak my mind,..and rarely mince my words. Its fine for blacks to say im black and proud of it,..but if whites say Im white and proud you get labelled a racist nazi . I grew up going right through primary school and high school being called a Nazi and Hitler because of my German name and family roots,..even got harassed because my supervisor at Chubb Locksmiths who at the time was 20yrs my senior was Jewish ...he was and likely is still an idiot.,...me personally ..I'm a Kiwi ..not black nor white..and a human being. Jeremy Clarksons a good bugger..he too doesnt mince his words,..I have several of his books and hes a funny basterd ,...loyal as hell to his country as a whole and to everything British. He says things as he means them,..no candy coating....in the case of the nursery rhyme,..he attempted to mute the word to "make it more acceptable" ,..but The word n****r is used everywhere ,..for fcks sake gollywog dolls were banned....people are just too soft and sensitive...concrete pills all round .
In my opinion far too many people live and dwell in the past and forever cripple their outlook on everything,..Im all for preserving history...in a museum. Imagine if governments were to even up everything,..no extra benefits for any particular race of people,...oh the humanity !...people of all race and creed would just have to harden up, ...quit moaning , quit living in the decades past and get on with it.

Edit:..unsurprisingly the n****r is muted even within our forum system....which is a show how engrained the fear of the use of the word is...

What bothers me about Clarkson and others of that ilk, is that anything controversial they say is not accidental - it is usually a carefully rehearsed (if not quite scripted) statement intended to boost flagging ratings.

I fail to see how saying the word n****r is going to help flagging ratings,...there were three takes done of the clip in subject,...the one where it was possible to pick the offending word out was not even used. Im not ignorant by thinking that celebrities don't have to panda to media becuase to a degree I am sure they do. Like it or not Clarkson makes that show,..I like all three presenters they each bring a necessary ingrediant to the show,..but without him I wouldnt watch it..but thats only my view.

"is that anything controversial they say is not accidental",..I appreciate you are entitled to your view ..as we all are...I just think your wrong as a generalisation "anything"....meaning everything lol:D

Good point, Adrian smile.gif
I have no problem with the 'n****r' word being used in a proper context, but I was disgusted when that movie producer chose to use it in controversy to generate publicity for his idea of how "The Dambusters" should have been.

Puppets,..well..and I could be mistaken but for the most part whether they be show hosts , actors or weather presenters all read from a script,...they get payed alot of money to do so, so Clarkson is just one of the thousands that have to say what they are told or they wouldn't have a job. In a trade you have the luxury of telling a building firm you don't agree with materials or methods of construction,..in show business they have no such liberties. The guy who wrote Clarksons lines should have been the one harangued publicly for the needless use of the word n****r.

Clarkson is a bigot, albeit an entertaining one.
(And yes, he is a journalist not a motoring hack, and writes his own stuff).

Perhaps that should be in the past tense.
By the time you've been bigoted through Season 1,2, 3 and so on, the collective gasp becomes more of a yawn, and then yes: you have to do stuff to create something from nothing.

Don't the Kardashians do this?
And don't a lot of people love this, and follow it?

I'd love to see Clarkson die at high speed in an Aerial Atom , on camera, and be done.
Now that would be great television, and also save him from making a complete ass of himself.
Mmm probably too late for that, come to think of it.
