Stopgap fix for Nemeth HSI Issue

Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Readers,

Nemeth designs more recent helicopters, namely the...

AS350
AS355
Mi-24
EC-130

...all have the same issue with the HSI, in that it acts as a wet compass, which means that the user experiences significant turning errors while in flight. This is far from accurate or realistic, and makes effective IFR flight impractical. On that note though, I recently discovered an interesting line in the aircraft config file of the default ultralight Trike, which disables the compass turning errors in the aircraft it is applied to.
Please note that this appears to disable the wet compass turning errors in the actual wet compass in the selected aircraft as well, but it's a fine tradeoff for proper HSI function, as that will be your primary instrument, and the actual wet compass is usually a last resort backup due to how it behaves.

As Nemeth support seems to be greatly lacking in effective product support overall (in my opinion), I suggest doing the following.
Open the aircraft.cfg (not the panel.cfg) of your afflicted aircraft such as the AS350 (note: you need to do this for all variants of the AS350 in each aircraft.cfg) and add the following section:

[MagneticCompass]
Compass.0 = 1

Voila, no more issues with the HSI acting like a wet compass.

Let me know if you have any questions.
