I know many will be watching rugby , but Im not .... and Im in the mood for a comp.
I was meant to be out tonight with some old mates , but Ive done something to my back ...and i feel like cr@p, so I'll catch up the boys in the morning.

Ok .... a new copy of Sebastian Jungers book "WAR" ... (he wrote the book perfect storm, which became a movie) .... just to fill you in , the book isnt a novel , and i quote "for 15 months , Sebastian Junger followed a single platoon based at a remote outpost in eastern Afganistan. His objective was both simple and ambitious : to convey what war actually feels like." There are no pictures , so its for big boys , and to get it .... tell me ...
What was odd about some ... "some" B Mk35 Dh Mosquito's .Dont pm me .... lets keep it open (i dont want to be another John Banks) post it. The prize is post free to anywhere.

Note : I just noticed the book has a small rip (cover) in the bottom left corner .... but otherwise new and un read.

Found my Mozzie book - 274 of the type were built, and it had two 1710hp Merlin 113A/114A engines, which was different for the Mk. 35s.

Hey hey hey, my last shot here - positive cabin pressure - although it would seem a miracle with those wooden bits everywhere.

Is it some were stored under heating vents melting the glue causing the tail assemblies to fall apart?

Done !! you must have the same book i have ..... yes , for some reason a few of the B -35's had mismatched engines .... a minor point i know , but a winning one thumbup1.gif
And to quote from the Pilots notes .... "The BMk34 is powered by 2 Merlin 114 engines and the BMk 35 by one Merlin 113 and one Merlin 114...."
The piont of difference was what i was looking for .

Many mid life going to late had all sorts of bits and pieces, even the night fighter was considered in a class off its own, best example of how you cannot tell one from the other is simply the engine - very much like a Mk9 and the Mk16 ... its only a few changes even the pitch of a bolt .. what a score Tom !

Spread the wealth and give out lessons as well, amazing the very little changes to have a different Mks , good example between NF36 and the NF38 was only replacing the American AI-Mk-X with the British AI-Mk-IX radar sets.

Thanks Mart. I love the little discrepancies that each model has; adds to the character!
Will flick you a message later on.
