FSX 3d

Post and comment on screen captures from the beautiful game here. Home of the monthly screenshot competition

To view the following images I recommend locating a pair of classic stereoscopic 3d glasses as shown in the image bellow !!!!!!

I found myself updating my nvidia graphics card this afternoon and as with most of the nvidia graphics cards it comes with this beautiful little utility to which I found my self playing with, with such a surprising result as well I thought it only of respect and loyalty to share my findings with the NZFF community.

The following are from the cockpit of the Bell 212 from Cera sim in and around NZNP

The following are from the Carenado Beech craft b1900 in and around NZNP

Now understand that all these images are raw straight from fsx and don't get me wrong the effect is brilliant and it looks great but while doing this test I found it was easy to become disorientated and I found that if its a desire to the colour or a desire to the sharpness of the gauges and labels then this defiantly isn't something you will want to try. I also found it was extremely hard to locate the active zone for buttons and switches, which proved quite problematic in the helicopter on start up or even switching on the seatbelt lights in the beech to which I just gave up.I also found it had a minor effect on my frame rates but nothing too drastic. I was well impressed with it all that I will probably adventure into it again in the future as I figure there are probably plenty more options and preferences to play with but for now I think I will stick with flight sims dynamic 3d world as it exists with out the fog of red and blue.

I know what you mean mine didn't come with glasses either how ever its a way for nvidia to maximise profit. I took the cheap option and ended up by dragging my pair out of an old book that was sitting around.

spending 64 bucks wouldn't even do. those glasses are set up more like your 3d tvs are. You couldn't even use a simple pair of 3d glasses from a cinema for some reason nvidia likes to make things difficult and applies different technology and have for some reason kept the old age discovery glasses a thing similar to that of the ones you would receive in the mail if you purchased a pay to view program that featured in 3d. the cellophane trick would work as well.

I tried to over lay a a red and blue pane over the images in photo shop but it as well didn't provide an obvious answer.
