Another thing I noticed I have is a fair few extra file why doing a little search there is also with SP-1b another SP-2 , as I said I do recall it did have a tricky install , thought you try those.
Thanks Ian, I appreciate your help and I haven't tried the repair install yet so ill give that a shot.I also didn't know about the SP1b or SP2 fixes so I'll try them as well.

With the 737 (And the 747 and 777) The HUD screens are part of the PMDG security measures. I'm not going to go into detail on what specific file is involved for obvious reasons but sometimes this can be corrupted by something else being installed and conflicting, or just a general bug or a whole slew of things and it can end up tripping the anti-piracy security features (One of which is blanking out the HUD, and on the 777 stopping your gear from retracting)
NO, Not saying you pirated it so no one suggest it. Just pointing out this particular issue because it is actually a known bug with PMDG planes that sometimes for a hundred different reasons the security safety on the models just trip and you end up with this result of blanks HUDs.
I would suggest just doing a full removal of the 737 (All files) then restart the computer and reinstall and see if that clears it. If it doesn't, I would suggest contacting PMDG's support team who usually fix this issue pretty quickly. Took them all of a minute to sort out the same issue on my 74-...
(Just as an example - What caused my issue on the 74- was installing the 73- after it and one of the 2 files involved didn't like that and corrupted so I have to be sure to install the 73- first and the 74- after to avoid this, but I can happily replicate the problem for me at least anytime I want now lol)Last edited by omitchell on Thu Jul 03, 2014 9:50 am, edited 1 time in total.

Hi, I sent a ticket to PMDG about the HUD problem on the 1st day this month and still waiting for a reply.
I did attempt to reinstall the NGX, after I removed it via the application, I went to install it again but was confronted by a message stating " Unable to locate fsx.exe. Unable to install".
Luckily, it did not actually uninstall it, the PMDG folder remains in my FSX directory (H:\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X), I think PMDG might only look for the NGX in "C" drive but I have it on my ssd (H) drive...but that's a whole other problem.
Hopefully an agent at PMDG gets back to me soon as I finally get a break from school in the holidays and get some extra sim time!!![]()

Which is why I said to remove all files. The file that I know of that can cause this issue lives in that folder... Now I will just say wait till PMDG get back to you..

Thanks to those who commented!
I could probably guess the file too
