Well what an interesting evening , i just finished a reply to DashCap when the old man called and said Mum wasn't looking to good (and he cant see bugger all now) so i figured it was bad.
Scramble one of the corollas and head west , when i arrived ma wasn't indeed looking good .... shaking , pale , and a bit incoherent .... rang 111 and about 10 minutes later a paramedic arrived.

Her blood pressure was 210 over something . The guy who turned up was a real pro , he normally works on the rescue chopper here in chc . He was great , straight to the point but reassuring at the same time ... anyway , turns out the old darling (80 but sharp as a tack ) had a reaction to a medication change , so rather than an ambo i took her into ED with a note from him. (he called ahead ) They didn't want me to stay so I'll catch up again the morning.. she will be fine.

I hate this stuff , the olds seem to be getting older by the day .... for as long as i can remember they were always the strong ones , and now its turned around.
But anyway the medics will get her sorted , and i have 110% admiration for that paramedic (Mike) whatever they pay him , he deserves more , a real credit to St Johns.

Anyway thats my evening , how was yours ? better i hope.

I had a shower... Yeah not as interesting...

Yeah reactions to meds are getting more common (Been there) but at least she got help pretty quick, good to hear she'll be alright...

Hello Marty...

Sorry to hear the bad news about dear-old Mum and Dad.

I know how they must feel....It's not always nice being "Old".

Fortunately for me, my Doc spotted my high blood pressure (232/121) many years ago, and put me on various medications: Blood Pressure, enlarged Prostate Gland*, under-active Thyroid Gland....all saved my life!...

...Memory Tablets next week...if I can remember to collect them!... unsure.gif ...!

With my various daily intake of Meds', at 80 years old, I am on top of the World, and in excellent health.....they have kept me alive!
(I get a full check-up every 12 months...and pass every time!).
Only snag....the Tabs cause a strange rattle in my stomach travelling over bumpy roads on my bike!

Today's blood pressure, (I take it every day with my one small wrist machine)...120/72...Heart rate = 60 Beats per minute....(I avoid Sex)...

Paul....I just need Strength and Stamina now!.... sad.gif .... laugh.gif ....!

* ....Don't forget to get it checked Chums...its our male killer...Prostate Cancer!

Glad to hear she's on the mend Marty, and yes, if they tripled the salaries of our medical staff it still wouldn't reflect their worth thumbup1.gif
