I have just purchased the Razbam Metroliner and I'm not really that keen on it to be honest. The panel is very nice, as is the exterior, but it has some really annoying issues.
The EHSI is hideous and the subject of a few complaints on various forums. It doesn't even have a proper HSI style course bar but a horrible digital representation of the old traditional ILS indications...yuk!
The EHSI control panel (that has the heading and course knobs and are used all the time) is located down the lower left (Capt) and right (F/O) sides of the panel. This requires panning onto it to alter the knobs and means that nothing can be seen outside whilst making adjustments. Really inconvenient and not good at all when hand flying. Might be OK in the real world but not that flash in the virtual one. I have suggested to RAZBAM that they consider a EHSI controller pop up in a future service pack....I'm sure they'll listen
Visibility is a ##### with the wiper and centre posts in the way. Probably an issue in the real world too but very limiting in our semi fixed one dimensional world. Track IR may help but you will be in for a sore neck by the end of the flight! Also my main panel pop up doesn't seem to work. I just get a horizontal black rectangle at the base of the screen.
So all in all first impressions are not that good. It was a toss up between the Carenado B1900 or this and I think the coin duped me.
EDIT. In fact the more I fly it the less I like it. This one is parked with less than an hour on the meter. AUS $26.88 down the drain. I guess there is a reason why there is not many reviews available for it.
