Hi Tim,
Where to start?
All FS2 crew addons follow a fairly similar formula.
You start with a 'preflight' mode where the 1st officer does all the pre start a/c requirements.
During this time usually 30 minutes, you set usually under take the functions of programming the FMC, getting the auto pilot configured, setting trim and usually starting the APU or requesting ground power.
During preflight the cabin crew or ground may contact you re boarding, fuel etc
At the completion of the pre start process you run the pre - start checklist
This continues for the rest of the flight, your voice commands activate the F/O to start new flows and then there is usually a check list to finish.
This covers engine start, taxi, take off, after takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, landing , shut down etc.
Once you have done a couple of flights it all comes naturally and if you can't remember the correct response just say 'check' which is the universal cheat.
I don't find any problem with the voice engine understanding me, Australians , even myself have provided voices. Maybe if you are from khazakstan there maybe an issue. :-)
The turbo prop versions are more complex than the jets, so a great starting point is the airbus x or pmdg 737 ng, the q400 is my favourite though so I do recommend.
It just seemlessly seems to work, it's hard to explain on an I-pad at mid night
Just ask if you need any assistance
Cheers Dave
