...and in FS9 no less.

That 747 panel of Ed's is fantastic. I'm trying to encourage him to release it. He is a perfectionist and wont release anything unless it is 100%. He reworked the contact points and the gear animation on the Posky model.
Some bright sparks out there. I can't even manage to create a textured box in Blender yet....it's like learning a new language really.

Best part is the fact they are out there and giving it away or were FS9 ... most people walk away , It would be funny to see many return to a platform the is 12 years old , FSX has its problems and so dose P3D ..... wonder what would happen - reverse engineering , the photo quality and able to get this in to that program , the results would prove astounding .

Ed's living proof of what you can do in my favoured sim... at present he is hard at work on his Tristar panel.
Last news he was wanting to do an authentic refueling panel on the wing root Bucktooth.gif

His video clips are full of subtle effects and bear watching a few times, for the "Easter Eggs" in there..
He does share crumbs: when the TDS 787 was released, he did a flap vortex effect which I cannibalised for the 737.
It's a conditional gauge which reacts to things like speed and barometric pressure.
Here's a clip I made of it, look carefully and you'll see it fades at the moment of touchdown:

FS9 is blessed with a huge amount of freeware bits 'n pieces.
You can spend all your spare time just assembling new combinations and get some amazing results.

Yes FS9 is still great and I prefer it to FSX (which I have always considered to be cheesy).
However the lighting effects in P3D are simply amazing and add a whole new realistic dimension to flying.
Unfortunately not much freeware which means costly and limited payware add ons and tweaking.
