For the rest of the month, there's some nice savings on Airfix, but the thing which caught my eye was the fact that you can go into the draw to win a $165 Mustang kit.

Mmmm ..... a lot of these kits have been re tooled , so much better quality than the original ones . Those 1/48 Lynx kits look good.
I have a book here on super detailing the 1/24 Hurricane , and if you succeed , you end up with a superb model . My eyes and patience are over kit bashing sad to say.
Good find Rob.

My worst thing I did with kit builds was lending my model paint spray gun out, like some books it never come back, mind you it is surprising what can be achieved with the paint brush and the water based paints today.

I'll weigh in on this subject.

Being a avid modeler myself i cant speak to highly of Airfix kits. a good portion of them are just releases of casts from the 1970's. If anyone here has tried putting together the 737-200 kit you'll know exactly what im talking about tongue.gif
Currently working on a Hasegawa 1:200 747-400 with current ANZ livery.

Hasegawa and Tamiya would be the top brands for superb quality today, Airfix did rule the roost along with Revell forty years back, make sure you post some photos of your ANZ 747 Chris smile.gif

Your correct Marty, I am working on RAF 485th and 487th squadrons. I am building the whole squadron. I haven't tried trumps but apparently there 1/35th Armour line is nice.

But with my modeling it takes me about 6 months a Mossie since i linger and get all the facts right. also the fact that i have ************************************* sorry censored for NDA......

No but i have a lot of resources on the mossie that allows me to build a very nice model.
