Dont mean to bring this to the public forum ..... but Im bloody angry ! Just missed a call from from a family member , informing me he has used my name as a referee or whatever for a loan.
This guy is in it up to his neck , and i hate to think what kind of loan company we are dealing with. Couldn't get back to him , so it was a txt , basically stating , that if im contacted ..... i dont know him (i dont feel good about that ... but )
What if they dont contact me , and he defaults (which he will) where do i stand? .......... angry.gif I DONT need this just now .... i really dont!

It doesn't seem possible that you can have any liability if you haven't signed anything. Which kind of makes it sound dodgy, if you ask me. I can remember a couple of major family tiffs (before my time, really) where signatures were forged...

Rather the panic ... shrug ya shoulders , ... if the person has used your name without consent your fine .. if the FUBAR hits the fan , you are still and legally fine.

Rob , this guy is dodgy ..... and as i said , the level hes at wont need anything signed. Im onto a lawyer in the morning . He wont talk to me (family member) but i just had an email saying he had cancelled the loan application (which Ive saved) and forwarded to an independent party .
Sorry again for bringing it here , but i really dont have anywhere else to go .... but its all good , life goes on .

Thanks guys .

IF you feel that strongly, and know which finance company it is, just call them and tell them you did not agree. Get it on record. Record the date, time and name of the person you spoke to. Job done.

Does genetic engineering now alter that statement?
