JF Chippie....

Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Hi Guys,

I thought I would check here before a lengthy wait at JF...?
I had bought the Chippie pretty much the day she was released and then downloaded and installed the "patched version" when it became available. Since then, had been enjoying her immensely. I then put her in my hanger for a little while and just last night decided to get her out and take her for a spin. So I load her up but when I go to open the GPS "Shift 2" FSX freezes up then the only key I can use is "Esc" and it shuts FSX down straight away....? Even when I hit "Shift 1" (radio stack) my screen is pretty much taken up by a zoom in version of the radio stack and can not be adjusted???? I have even un-installed her and re-installed her just to check
I am at a loss to why this happens?? blink.gif
I have checked other aircraft and I can use the "Shift #" keys without a problem???

Any Idea's or clues to why I would be having such a strange issue?

Kind regards,
Tim...

Ok guys all good. I checked over at JF forums and had seen that Adamski has/had the very same issue.

The fix is to download -again- the patch version (because JF have released another version to fix this) and re-install. Great to know the JF gave their customers the Heads Up over this pickle!!!!!! I was in the fame of mind to do some serious hair pulling and full FSX re-install!!!

Big thumbs up to JF!!! Thank you JF!!! angry.gif

So in conclusion....if anyone else is or will experience this problem? Just re-download your copy and re-install. Of coarse after un-installing and deleting any trace of the current Chippie.

Good luck,
Tim...

No worries Dean. I am sure I had the patch installed too because I have the copy in my "downloads" folder and unzipped....??

Anyway, all good now. Back to enjoying the Chippie again.
